Bashkir Soda Company JSC was founded in May 2013 as a result of merging Soda JSC and Kaustik OJSC to become one of the largest chemical companies in Russia.

Over the last 5 years Bashkir Soda Company has implemented the following large innovative projects:

1. 2009 - completion of reconstruction of VC-PVC production facility with increase of production capacity up to 200 thousand tons per year. Total amount of investments was approximately RUB 2.6 billion.

2. 2011 – implementation of project Installation of a Plant for Production of Caustic Melt Using Hydrogen. Production of solid caustic was increased to 50 thousand tons/year. Investment amount was more than RUB 132 million.

3. Optimization of electric power consumption for production of gaseous nitrogen and increase of capacity of gaseous oxygen production in connection with expansion of VC-PVC facility.

4. 2013 – launch of a new air separation unit, the value RUB 680 million.

To date, the following large projects and activates are underway:

1. Construction of a still waste liquid filtration station aimed at solving the issue of soda production waste disposal.

2. Integration of an automated control system of the soda production aimed at optimization of the technologic processes control, saving material and power resources.

3. Introduction of a fluidized bed drier for purified calcium bicarbonate aimed at improvement of consumer qualities of baking soda.

4. Updating elements of the column equipment.

5. Scaling up production of calcium chloride to produce a commercial product from soda ash production effluents.
